Below are just a few of our dogs looking for their forever homes.
Our Featured Dogs:
Luna

Hi, I'm Luna! I am 4 years and 9 months old and weigh 50 lbs. Depending on the picture and lighting, I look like a lab mix, Weimaraner, or even a labra-seal! I've been told I have a sweet face and that I am a goofball once I get to know you. I love toys and to play fetch. Oh yeah, I love car rides.
My little quirk is that I don't like strangers reaching out to pet me without my consent. I prefer getting to know people first to determine if they are ok.
My perfect day would be to run in a big field (or backyard), roll in the grass, have constant belly rubs, go for another car ride (love those!!), then cuddle with my peeps on the couch. I sleep like a dream in my crate every night.

Kimber

Kimber is a very sweet female cuddle bug, a 5+ years old bull terrier mix weighing 55 pounds. House trained, OBEDIENCE TRAINED, crate trained, and leash trained! If you want a true companion and a dog who is obedience trained, meet Kimber! Her foster mom says she is the sweetest and a Very Good Girl. She is ready for her forever home. Kimber is truly a WONDERFUL dog.
Her ideal home is where a pet parent/foster would be working remotely without any pesky animals hogging her love and attention. She prefers a home with calm and quiet since small rambunctious children make her nervous.

Maze

(Foster or Adopt)
Our Maze is a 6-year-old 47lb. female boxer/American Bulldog mix who is an all-around sports enthusiast. She loves to play ball and even does agility jumps! Would you believe she is DEAF? That doesn't stop her from living her best life!!! Maze is very loving and active! She has received obedience training and knows hand signals.
Maze loves to be with her humans, sitting on the couch and giving gentle kisses. She is amazing with kids and is okay with cats. Maze is picky about her doggie friends, so she needs to be the only dog in the home.

Rusty

Rusty is a playful, energetic pooch who is 7 years old and about 60 lb. We think he looks like a black-mouth cur, but who knows for sure. He has a long tongue just made for giving lots of doggie kisses. He loves to go for walks or a ride in the car and will even fetch his leash to make sure you get the idea!
Although he loves kids, he wouldn't be a good fit for young children, as he might accidentally knock them down in his enthusiasm. Rusty is a great watchdog and even foiled a robber when he tried to enter his former home! When strangers come, he needs a place where he can go, away from the activity. He is SO sweet, smart, and funny.

Danny

Danny is a graduate of our obedience training program at North Central Prison. Many of our families who adopt graduates of this obedience program say the dog is the best dog they have ever had!
Hi! My name is Danny Boy, and I am a 6–7-year-old, good boy who will make you smile and laugh. I am a mixed breed, and the humans here think I may have some Cane Corso in my family, but I am only 55 solid lbs.
I love to give kisses, have cuddles on the couch, meet new people, play with my toys and have a tasty Pup Cup.
I am OK socially with other dogs but want to be the only dog in the home. I love kids of all sizes, but I don’t know my own size, so kids over 10 would be best.

Simba

Meet Simba, the silly, goofy boy with a big personality. Simba is a 4 year and 1-month-old shepherd mix who weighs 45 lbs. Simba is a very smart, athletic boy who loves toys and playing fetch. He would likely do well with Frisbee since he can catch a ball pretty high in the air. He is obedience-trained, too!
Simba loves riding in the car and does well in pet stores. He interacts well with the other dogs in the store but needs slow intros with other dogs outside before entering his home. He does well with kids 10 and up. No cats, please!

Maisie

Maisie is a graduate of our obedience training program at North Central Prison. Many of our families who adopt graduates of this obedience program say the dog is the best dog they have ever had!
Maisie is 5 years old and weighs just over 60 lbs. She is a sweet female mixed breed who loves people. Adults, kids, size doesn't matter she loves them all. She loves all toys and especially likes to play fetch. House, Crate, Leash, Obedience Trained!
Maisie does not like to be cold but will play in the snow from time to time. She may get super excited when she sees a golf cart because she enjoys the rides. She loves balls and will pop them if given the chance. Maisie loves her belly rubbed, and she will lie at your feet until you stop. Our gal is very people-friendly and does well with male dogs.

Thelma

Thelma is a graduate of our obedience training program at North Central Prison. Many of our families who adopt graduates of this obedience program say the dog is the best dog they have ever had!
Thelma is a lovable, chunky little mixed-breed hippo (61 lbs.) looking for her forever family! She will steal your heart in no time - just look at that squishy face and that wiggle butt! Thelma loves giving kisses and hugs, playing a little in the yard, and relaxing on a comfy couch with you - pets and belly rubs are mandatory! And Thelma is obedience trained!
Thelma is 4 years old, good with kids, but very dog-selective, so she would prefer to be your one and only fur baby. She has been to several public events where there were other dogs and focused on getting attention from the people.

Champ

Champ is unique in every way. He is 4 years and 3 months old, weighs 44 lbs, and is a tripod mixed breed! Champ doesn’t realize that he’s missing a leg and enjoys life.
When Champ loves, he loves hard. He likes lots of attention - rubbing on his head is his favorite thing. He loves other dogs and will be your shadow. He is a great dog in public and gets lots of attention wherever he goes.
Champ is mostly crate-trained with only a little bit of whining. He does like to be around the action, so would thrive in a home where someone is home with him most of the day. Champ would do best in a home where there is not a lot of traffic in and out of the home.
